my frugal 'log' tiki gazebo is all finished

Just wanted to share with all of you the picture of my "tiki" gazebo, made from wood that fell during our January ice storm. It's 7 feet wide X about 10-12 feet tall at the roof peak. Counting the lag bolts, screws, cement pads and roof, we have $130 in this gazebo. So I'm proud to have such a frugal gazebo by the pond. Now all I have left to do is plant my musa basjoos, but that's another forum...Thanks for looking! The picture is in the twig projects folder, it's the last picture.

Great gazebo! Poetic justice using branches from an ice storm for something so tropical. What did you use on the roof?

Hope you'll post more pictures when the bamboo is planted and thriving - that'll be gorgeous!

The top is palm thatch ordered through the internet from a place called I only had $15.00 in the gazebo until I got the roof, it was $117 with shipping. But worth it I think. Thanks for looking. The birch chair is in the living room now.
