Spanish Flag & Kiss Me Over the Garden Gate

alameda/zone 8March 27, 2011

These annual climbers are new to me this year. I would appreciate information on how to sow them, how long they take to germinate and what conditions they grow best in. I live 2 hours NE of Houston. Thanks!

I will be growing Kiss Me Over the Garden Gate (Persicaria orientalis) for the first time this year too. It is not a vine, but a tall upright grower (four feet x two feet wide). I will be interested in hearing what others have to say.
