Baggie Plants

Lynn_Z9(PSL-FL)July 4, 2005

Just ran across a great article for a frugal container to use to root plants - the plastic bags from your newspaper (or grocery store.) Go to the website below and click on "Featured Article" on the left column.

I love this idea and will get on it tomorrow, propagating many more plants. I save these bags because they are perfect for so many things. Shoe bags for travel, so your shoes won't get your clothing dirty, perfect for most 4" pots as you give potted plants to friends, excellent greenhouse propagators, always have some in pockets to collect weeds, etc., But I can't wait to try this one. Would be fun to do this around an umbrella on a table since the bag is flexible and two of them could create a pretty centerpiece overflowing with plants.
