Anyones successfully grown and fruited this Kaki persimmon variety? I have heard this was one of the best tasting Kaki.

I am going to give it a try, I heard good things about it. Widely grown in Spain I believe. I think it has similar flavor to Hachiya (it is astringent conical shaped too) but has "high fiber" and doesn't get too gooy when ripe, stays more firm. I'll report back in a couple seasons hopefully with personal results.

My understanding is it just came off of a quarantine list a year ago. I bought one a year ago; it died; I'm trying another now. So I doubt if anyone stateside has gotten any persimmons yet. From what i read, its the preferred persimmon in Spain
