Persimmon questions

yawineyJanuary 31, 2013

This is a question fro those who know about my climate. Have space for 1 more tree. If the Coffeecake Persimmion will fruit in my area, could I graft a scion/scions of the Chocolate on it for a pollenizer?
Also considering a self-fruitful Jiro which is known to do well here, or a Itzu which I have heard mixed reports for my area.

For sonoma co. locals, I'm in the bottom of the valley west of Sebastopol about halfway between Sebastopol and Freestone.

Mabey there's no one from my area on this forum w/ persimmon exp. I'm in zone 9b if anyone else wants to chime in.
I'll probly go with Jiro since I've gotten varying advice from nurseries about wether the fruit will be good on the coffeecake even if my grafting for pollenization works.
