can I grow blueberry bushes near a lemon tree

oliveohFebruary 3, 2014

I have 2 small lemon trees and I want to plant a 3 to 4 blue berry bushes near them, I know I have to amend the soil with peat moss to increase the acidity for the blue berries and I was wondering how this would affect the lemon trees?

I don't think it will hurt the lemon trees because it's a small part of their soil volume. But I'm not speaking from first hand experience. It just seems that they should get what they need from both the low pH and high pH areas within their rootzone. I don't think the low pH soil would poison the lemons with too much of anything.
