Fruiting Quince Tree

badduckyFebruary 12, 2013

Do any Central Texas growers have experience with fruiting quince tree like a Pineapple Quince or a Cooke's Jumbo?

Are they prone to fireblight around here, or any other serious problems? I'm really hoping for a tree (like a pear) where all I have to do is maybe thin it once and harvest it in the fall.
