paw paw trees growing conditions
I am looking into planting some paw paw trees into an area that I cleared two years ago. The area is adjacent to a small creek that runs through my yard. I would like to place the trees about 6-8 feet from the creek. The land is also about 1 foot higher than the creek. The creek went dry during last year's drought but the year before it always had water in it. The creek drains about 50 acres of land and does not overflow into the area where the trees would be. There are trees to the north about 25 feet away. There are trees to the west about 50 feet away. The area would get about 8-10 hours of sun. I found a local nursery that carries trees. Is this area good for 3 trees.
