Siberian Gold or Serbian Gold quince?

Nick_B79(4/5 Southeast MN)February 14, 2014

I recently read a letter to the editor in an organic magazine that mentioned how great "Siberian Gold" quince was for the writer in northern Iowa. I was about to pull the trigger and order an Aromatnaya quince.

The problem is, I can't find much about a "Siberian Gold" quince. I find plenty of references for "Serbian Gold" quince, however. Was this just a case of mistaken identity on the part of the writer? If so, how would you rate the Serbian Gold quince vs. the Aromantnaya?

Thanks!

Using the search phrase ""Siberian Gold" quince" -- but without quotes -- quite a few results were returned from the UK.

Perhaps a recent import? Or pending that status?

Write/email the articles author to ask.
