My planned Healthy gardening

For the Treatment of Diabetes are:

Grow Bitter Melon, Garlic, Onion, Burdock, Swiss Chard, Yacon, Jicama

To lower Blood Pressure:

Grow Celery, carrots, tomatoes, snow peas, Broccoli, cauliflower, mustard greens, Chinese cabbage

To lower Cholesterol:
Grow Garlic, Eggplants, Spinach, Yard long beans

Cancer fighting food:

Grow ginger, Garlic, Onion, Leeks, Tomatoes, Turmeric, Spinach

These vegetables are easily to grow. What is your thoughts?

sounds like a great garden line up, there's no substitute for eating a variety of delicious healthy home grown vegetables. good for you!

You must be in horrible physical condition if you have diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and cancer.

Sounds like a tasty vegetable lineup.

And it's halfway to Michael Pollan's suggested healthy diet:

"Eat less. Mostly plants." :)

I find it frustrating when people categorize specific plants for specific illnesses. My main problem is it misinforms the people. Some people with high blood pressure who read "celery helps high blood pressure" actually eat exclusively celery hoping it'll cure it. The secret is there is no specific disease or no specific cure. Live healthy, be healthy. Eat junk food, get junk.

i agree natures nature, but you have to meet people where they are. doing so creates resonance between you so that you know what to say to best help them and they feel comfortable with new ideas.

an essential skill if you work with people daily on their health issues!
