Pruning pear

ColinJCMarch 30, 2014

I've bought two pear trees from Lidl - ã3 each - and intend to grow them on in tubs before planting out in winter.

They need pruning, is it best to chance it now or to give them a season's growth prior to shaping them?

How do you know they need pruning? If they have flaws, best to prune them now.
