avocado tree with brown leaves - lace bug?

eldemilaMarch 20, 2008

I'm in no way knowledgable about any plants, but I think, from what I could find on the net that my avocado tree, which is about 30 years old may have AVOCADO LACE BUGS.

There are big brown patches on most leaves. The last season, we had very few avocados and they were quite small. At the time we had the avocados the leaves were fine, shortly afterwards it seemed the leaves started turning.

If this lace bug is the problem, how the heck do you get rid of it? This info wasn't as easy for me to find as the info of what may be the cause.

I'm down in Miami, FL
