Blueberry Graft, when to remove film???

blueboy1977(TX9A/B)March 9, 2013

I cleft grafted a brightwell scion to beckyblue root stock about 5 weeks ago. When do you normally remove the parafilm? It looks like its taken well at this point. When can I declare success???

I just bought my first parafilm. My plan is that it doesn't need to be removed. It'll breakdown and fall off after a while. Maybe someone can set us both straight if need be.

It sounds like Sun exposure makes it disintegrate.
Here is a past thread with people using it solo and with other things with varied results. Brady

If parafilm is the only thing you used to wrap it, just leave it be.
