Raspberry: Plant or Pot?

Valdo(9b)March 5, 2014

Bought a nice looking raspberry plant and kept it on my front porch until I decide where to put it. But it has just exploded, looking full and beautiful in the cheap temp pot. Should I keep it where it is, in a pot?

Will it bear fruit in a pot?

Yes, it will bear fruit. If the pot is a gallon-size or larger, the plant can stay in the pot until the plant goes dormant this autumn. If smaller, I would plant it out as soon as possible, taking care to minimize damage to new roots.
