I have never sprayed my mulberry trees before but at the end last year some seemed to have black fungus. should they be sprayed and will it hurt the berries?
I wouldn't, unless the fungus seems to be doing real harm to the tree and then I'd want to know what the fungus was to know what fungicide might help.
I have found it difficult to get information about mulberries because it is not a commercial crop in this country. You could try a dormant application of copper, although any application not included on label is illegal.
This is one area that I am weak in. I don't do enough during winter. Will put a lot more into winter spraying from now on. Thanks for the info
I have a copper product that you can spray on trees even when in growth, not sure if anything like that is packaged for the backyard grower.
I will check. Hate to spray if I don't really have to. Am not spraying apples for CAR because of the bees in the orchard right now. Thanks for the info.
Here I get adequate control of CAR when I apply a couple sprays of myclobutinal starting at petal fall and again in 10-14 days. For homeowners it is packaged by Spectracide as Immunox.
Thanks I have immunox . Trees are blooming right now. Will spray at petal fall.
