Hardy almond, pollination placement etc?
I grabbed a Halls hardy and Texas mission, as supposedly they are the latest blooming and that is a huge requirement here in mountainous zone 6. I have low expectations but interested in trying.
Any idea how far apart they need to be to gain benefits with pollination?
And the only "against the wall" areas here would be facing west, and they can only get to 5' wide max.
I'm imagining they must be treated as peaches, ideally with no rain hitting their leaves? I'd like to place them in the orchard but peaches don't last here, and fruit terribly in the climate.
Thanks for any tips.
