john222-gg(Mississippi 8a/8b)April 22, 2013

I know I should post this in fig forum but there is a lot of good people that always will help with my problems. One of my fig trees is driving me mad it makes good looking figs But the figs never get ripe. They just get big and fall off they stay hard never getting soft.Is there any thing I can do to fix this problem or should I just remove it.It is a celeste abought 6 years old. all my other figs doing fine? all help will be appreciated. This was going to be the last year for this tree thought I would give it one last chance.Sure hope some one can save it I sure don't know what to do.Thanks.

It might be a watering problem. I've had mine do the same thing before, and it was a lack of water.

Others have a similar problem with celeste. Does it happen when it gets hot and dry out?

it has happened every year all year if it was water I would have thought the other fig trees would be doing the same?
