Northern Spy

I always heard that NS was discontinued by many growers because it only yielded a good crop every other year.

Is this true?

Also, if I buy a grafted semi-dwarf NS will it yield every year?

My favorite apple.

I manage NS trees that bare most years- I don't know if this is an issue with commercial production but Fuji is a less consistent annual bearer here and it's still grown by some commercial growers.
