Semi Dwarf Stella Cherry

radiantrose013April 29, 2013

I lost a young semi dwarf Stella cherry over the winter. Even the trunk is dead but now there are shoots below the graft. Are they fruit tree shoots or some non-fruiting shrub or tree?

Where did you buy it? Can you call the vendor and ask what the rootstock is?

They are almost certainly some time of fruit tree shoots but won't be Stella and won't make very good fruit.
