too late to spray apple trees with Volck oil.

Is it too late to use this spray on my apple trees? Will it harm the new buds emerging? On a few of my trees the buds are big and I'm afraid I might damage them.

Its better to spray when the buds have swelled some, such a spray timing is called "delayed dormant". Up to 1/2" of green leaves showing and you are fine.
