Striped June Apple

2010champsbcsApril 17, 2014

I have two Striped June apples on my tree for the first time. Does anyone know the fresh eating quality? Does it actually ripen in June? Does it have any natural disease resistance? Thanks in advance for your help.

I planted two of them last year. It's also known as BevanâÂÂs Favorite, Bivins, and Early Bevan.

It's described as "Medium, slightly conical, crisp, firm, moderately juicy and mildly sweet." It ripens in June/July and is less susceptible to pest problems.

I was looking for a good tasting, very early season apple that ripens in the middle June or near the end of June. Anyone else have experience with a good apple for these dates. Thanks
