Bee Activity Around Jujube

Saw these bees around my So ("Contorted") jujube. Temps in the low 70s, just had a big dust storm here in Phoenix. Not sure what they're doing, but they were as still as statues. No flowers yet on the tree.

Very interesting, thanks for posting the pic. Only explanation I can think of is that they were gathering/feeding on some sort of sap exudate from those new shoots. Bees will gather non-floral sugary substances from all sorts of plants.
