dwarf lemon tree

I have a potted dwarf lemon tree which I think is about 2 years old. How old do the plants have to be before they bear fruit?

I would think it is blooming now, assuming you bought it as three to five gallon tree. Whether it drops the fruit after the flower may depend on the care you are giving it. It is recommended feeding your potted tree monthly with a citrus labeled fertilizer. If not available locally any suggested for Avocado, Camellia or Rhododendron will do. Either dissolved in water per directions or scratched into the surface, about a tablespoon per month for a tree of your size. Al

Unfortunately I purchased a 1 gallon tree-so I guess its too young to bear fruit. Maybe next year.
