Strawberries and Brambles

CaraRoseMay 7, 2012

I have a raised bramble bed with raspberries and blackberries. I also have a bunch of potted strawberries. I was curious if I could also plant some strawberries in with the brambles in the raised bed? Or would the strawberries choke the brambles too much?

More likely vice versa. Strawberries need light and sun which the brambles will obstruct. And have you thought about how you'd harvest the strawberries from beneath raspberries and blackberries in full growth? You might make a go of growing some around the sides as edging but I honestly wouldn't try and plant them together.
