Mars Grapes

sandyjmacMay 15, 2012

I live in VA and i have a three year old Mars grape vine. I always get lots of leaves and it looks like it is growing very well. Between year 1 and year 2 i just let it do it is thing, no pruning. Last year, i pruned around November when all the leaves were gone. I finally have little grape buds, however they look like the same size for about a month straight, no real growth. is that normal, or is there something wrong?

the buds are about the size of a crumb of cake.

The clusters do indeed take quite a while to grow. Long as they aren't shriveling up and falling off, you're doing fine, just leave 'em be.
