I overfertilized my blueberry bush!

orchidaddict_789(MD)May 5, 2013

I have a blueberry bush in a 1 gallon pot, which I bought last summer. This spring, it grew lots of new leaves and flowers, so I sprinkled some fertilizer pellets on top of the soil. I think I added too much fertilizer so within a few days, the leaves all turned dry and crispy (some leaves are brown, but not all of them). The stems are still green though.

I washed away all the soil from its roots and rinsed the roots in running water for several minutes, and then I repotted it into a fresh mix. I don't know if it's too late though. Now I feel pretty stupid. Is there any way the plant can recover? Anything else I can do? Thanks!
