Hornworms on Triple Crown blackberries?

2ajsmamaJune 2, 2013

It didn't have a horn but sure looked like a hornworm - big green caterpillar with big poop on underside of 1 leaf. And lots of little black "seeds" (poop from other hornworms or smaller cats I didn't see?) on the other plants. I just pick them off my tomatoes but even with no thorns I'm not keen on searching through blackberry plants. What is this and is there an organic control? Sorry, no picture, I squished him.

It's the same as on tomatoes and same control. BT should work if put on regularly.

OK, I haven't used Bt before but guess it's time. Will that work on ants and flea beetles too? I might as well put it on my brassicas to keep the cabbage loopers under control - they ate all my kale last year.

BT is only for caterpillars.
