Acidic Soil for Cane Fruits?

yugoslavaJune 1, 2014

At a nursery recently I saw a sign indicating acidic soil for cane fruits. There were bags of soil for that purpose. Until then I wasn't aware of the need for acidic soil for cane fruits! Is that correct?

My blackberries and raspberries grow fine in 7 pH which is neutral. Most sites recommend somewhere between 6 - 7pH. If your soil pH is higher than 7 then you may want to lower the pH.
