Sprays for fruit drop

marknmtJune 22, 2013

Our daughter, visiting from Berkeley, has a plum that she wants to remove but might not get to this year. It creates a terrible mess with fruit, and I mentioned to her that there were sprays that would prevent fruiting. The fruit itself is very disappointing.

If one wanted to eliminate fruiting completely how could they treat that tree?

Thank you,

M

I know of no such product for plums- there used to be something on the market that worked on apples and you could use a very strong batch of thinner for them, but not for other kinds of fruit as far as I know.
