Persimmon (hopefully)

gnappiJune 15, 2014

Well, it looks as if my "winterset" persimmon (debatable on cultivar) has "finally" set fruit. The blooms all have small (1/4") fruitlets developing in the center of the flower.

In past years my flowers all fell off long before the appearance of small fruit growing.

Has anyone else with a persimmon in South Florida had fruit set this year?

Gnappi,

I am not in FL, But I have 10 varieties of D.V. that had fruitlets around pea size. They are quite cute.
