Please I.D. this damage to Santa Rosa Plum

mes111(5b -Purling NY & 7b -Nassau County NY)June 16, 2014

The fruit set was meager to non-existant this season here in Purling NY (Zip 12470 - 5b).

This does not effect me too much as my trees are still young and I was planning to thin murderously to let them "beef up".

But, on a few that did set I found the damage a shown on the photo.

Can anyone I.D for me?

That looks like bird pecking or similar. The fruit should come out fine besides that one spot.

I was planning on bird netting in early July.
