Awesome strawberry year in the NE!!
We have one of those 3 tier strawberry gardens and it's only 6' in diameter. Planted 4 years ago with june bearers it has given modest harvest the past 2 years, but this year we have pulled 10 quarts from it. Amazing! Enough for 3 batches of jam, strawberry shortcake, and casual eating. There's still a quart or so to be gleaned. Not sure why so many this year but it seems to be a big fruit year here in the NE for everybody. A good snowpack last winter might have had something to do with it.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention, the slugs have had their fill too, to the tune of about a quart also.
