Montmorency cherry questions

curtis(5)June 27, 2013

I ran across a guy with a nice Montmornency cherry tree in his yard. He gets some little trees growing from seeds and moves them to another location and replants. Does montmorency grow true from seed? or if not is the seedling as good rootstock?

Seedling will be different, you can use as rootstock.

Once those seedlings about a pencil size, you can ask that gentleman for some scionwoods and graft them.
