Fruit Tree Problem or not?

GreenGardener125June 17, 2013

I planted a Granny Smith apple tree (and a dwarf pear tree) 3 years ago. They are doing well and bearing what seems like a lot of fruit for the first time this year. Being an extremely inexperienced gardener, I'm not sure if I should be concerned with some of the things I have noticed. I have 2 young children (6 and 3) and a dog so I don't want to use any pesticides or sprays unless necessary and, even then, organic/least toxic to humans is preferred. I have uploaded 1 image of a leaf (red spot?). More images of suspicious things are in an online album at Any advice is extremely appreciated. Thanks!

That picture looks like a bird peck. You can put your other pictures here by posting followups, one followup per picture.

It could also be hail damage.
