Pick this Dorsett Golden apple today. It has these weird bumps on it. Anyone know what causes this? No worms or bugs when I cut it open. It was yummy also! :)

Or a "clinic" possibly lol...looks like this apple was sleeping around a bit and not being "safe"

If scab, the surface is dark-colored, rough and corky and may split. Yours is different.

It's a tasty mutant...I guess they been dumping radioactive waste below you ;)
Also, find a "Macro" mode on your camera, this will help focus on close up objects instead of the foreground.

I saw the very same bumps on some of Stephen Hayes' apples on his youtube channel. He's over in England and has some kind of beetle taking bites out of his apples when they're young. Those that survive form those bumps.

I think its caused by a thrip like pest in the blossom.
