Ambrosia Beetle on my Avocado?

akarinzJuly 25, 2014

I have a white fungus on my avocado tree and am really concerned it might be the ambrosia beetle. The tree is healthy, but I know that is irrelevant. Can anyone give me some ideas or confirmation please? This is really making me nervous. I've included a picture of the fungus on the trunk.

That just looks like a fungus. Its too circular and the beetles usually leave these little towers of sawdust sticking out from the sides of the tree.

Thanks Scott. Any idea how to treat?
