can I grow cherries?

I live about 50 miles from the Mississippi coast it stays pretty warm here.The Question is can I grow the new cherry trees Minnie Royal & Royal Lee I think I get 3 to 500 chill hours but we have high humidity.I also don't want a real big tree 10' maybe 15' if anyone has knowledge about thees trees I shore would apreshate the info.

You get plenty of chilling and if you get them on a dwarf rootstock, they won't get too big. But the humidity and rain are a big issue. That causes fruit splitting as it matures and tree diseases. They do bear at an early age on New Root 1 or Gisela 5 rootstocks but the trees are unlikely to live more than 5-8 years in your climate.

If your soil doesn't drain well they may not live long enough to bear, the third year.
