persimmonbob(6b)July 6, 2012

I grew some of these tree's from store bought pom's seeds.I believe they are going in the 4th year and had lots of flowers and now 7 fruits. They went through 2 winters with below zero(-3 and -4 degree's) for several nights. They all survive.

Thats impressive Bob. I'm not sure why that cold didn't kill them since they are probably Wonderful variety seedlings. Did you have others that did die so these were selected out?

I had 8 of them growing and give away 4 to members from a local garden club. The 4 remaining tree's are still growing good, but probably 3 will be relocated this winter and replanted in a more sunnier location. The first year they grew in pots.
