bitter pit in apples - treatment?

thomis(7)July 5, 2013

How do you prevent bitter pit? Can I use the same fungicide (Rally 40SP) I use to prevent cedar apple rust? Starting to see it now on some of the apples, and all this rain isn't helping things.

Bitter pit isn't a disease. It's a physiological disorder. Management is cultural.

Calcium chloride sprays are the usual treatment.
