Fig tree identification

purovargas(8)July 18, 2013

Hello, I am from San Antonio,TX. and I just wanted to know if anyone can help identify this fig tree that is growing in my grandmothers backyard. A fig tree has been growing for years in her backyard in another spot and died but this one popped up I am guessing from it. It has given two crops and I keep missing the ripe ones every time I go to see how they taste.

^^^FIrst crop of figs to arrive back in May

I took some cutting so I can grow them at home.

Still first crop

Now last week I went back and a new different looking fig fruit is on there.

Tasted like a cross between a peach and a melon. It was weird!
