Cut back raspberries now?

queensinfoJuly 27, 2013

My plants look terrible this year. I am it sure if due to the two heat waves and some type of wilt virus or they just won't recover from dryin out a couple of times. Can I cut them down to the ground now and push growth with heavy fertilizer to get a fall crop?

Do you visit the container growing area of this forum? I think that is where you will get the most help.

I would think that for a fall crop, a cane would have to have flower buds already formed at this date.

What was the duration of drying out a couple of times?
