strawberry fungus

newfruitgrowerJuly 17, 2013

Two years in a row my everbearing strawberries start off looking really good (lush green plants with lots of flowers). But then they start to look horrible and they don't end up producing much fruit.
We figured it was some type of fungus and we started to spray it with a copper spray (when it's not raining). But after two summers in a row, it doesn't seem to be helping.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I'm also having trouble with grapes and I just planted currants and they started having spots on the leaves.
I can attach pictures of others if it helps.

Yes, looks like a fungus, probably either strawberry leaf scorch fungus or strawberry spot fungus. Best option is to remove the plants and plant a resistant variety:

Awesome, thanks don for the link.

Can other fruits have the same fungus?
My grapes also seem to have something.
What do you recommend?
I attached a picture.
