ID this bug?

bamboo_rabbit(9A Inverness FL)July 11, 2013

I have spent quite some time trying to ID this bug and have had no luck. Pretty sure this is what is chewing on the new growth on my blueberries. Just thought someone here might know. It is small, about as long as a grain of uncooked rice and about 3 times as wide as a grain of rice.....or another way about the size of a ladybug but of course not as round.

It looks like Palmetto Bug marking on back but size small for adult.

Gator,

I see the markings you mean but this is definitely not a roach, it is a beetle of some sort. I emailed the DR Brady linked so I hope he will answer.
