Virus, chlorosis, or other blackberry malady

jtburtonJuly 19, 2013

I have three newer blackberry plants that appear to have a similar leaf condition. Not sure if it is a disease or an environmental condition. We have had a lot of rain this spring and summer, so I though it might be related to this but I don't want these plants hanging around if they have a virus.

Three out of how many, and is primocane or floricane foliage pictured?

Three out of three. These were supposed to have been kotata trailing blackberry but they are not. Some unknown erect variety. The leaves are from primocanes.

It's hard to say; the image shows the beginning characteristics of both disease and/or chlorosis. No indication of insects or lack of water. Not much help, sorry.
