Apple Leaf Pest

megamav(5a - NY)August 24, 2013

Unsure of what this is, but, whatever it is, its sucking the life out of some leaves on my Reine des Reinettes.

A few on my Jonamac, one pair of leaves were fully bronzed. There is some webbing pulling the leaf ends together.

If I had to guess, its some sort of apple mite?

Anyone know for sure?

Look around in the webbing. It's probably a leaf rolling caterpillar or similar. Not serious unless there are a lot of them. Squish what you can.
