What's eating my strawberries?

rodco(zone 5)August 13, 2014

I noticed that something is eating my ripe
Strawberries. It seems to be only the top layer that is eaten off.
The plants are covered with netting, so it's not a bird.
Any ideas?

Slugs at night. Leave when the sun comes out. Or some other night beetle, try sluggo plus, or a cheaper alternative slug bait. I would get the plus, as it covers other possible insect problems. To confirm, go out late with a flashlight and look.
