Live arbor from crabapple?

bluevioletsSeptember 3, 2012

Hey all--

Years ago I read directions in some magazine about training branches from a flowering tree into an arbor. It was done with one tree, and by shoving ends of branches into ground.

Will this work with my flowering crab and should I do it now or in the spring? Naturally I didn't save the article....

Many thanks for any advice or thoughts.
