Olive tree

Hi - We just purchased an Oleo europaea (Olive tree) and I'm trying to figure out what (if anything) special I have to do to get it to fruit. We live in the mid-atlantic...zone 6a, so it'll be a houseplant (tree?). I'm thinking it may need a cold period... I did find one source that mentions two months of below 50 degrees Fahrenheit temperatures. None of the other stuff I found says anything...Does anyone have any experience with this? The plant is young, but I'm thinking ahead a year or two. Thanks in advance for any help or thoughts.
