i just bought orchids at a deep discount price at our local home improvement store because the leaves are wrinkly. is there a way to revive them?

You most probably have purchased some Phalaenopsis orchids. Link is to thread below....
The wrinkly leaves may be a symptom of root damage. You may have a bargain if you can provide good growing conditions to help the plants recover, but it is winter over there...
Find some complete phalaenopsis culture on the net that relate to where you live in the USA and ask more questions here if you are still puzzled on how to proceed.

Once the leaves begin to show damage, they will not recover. However, this does not mean you will lose the orchid. You need to see how the roots are doing. If you have healthy roots, then it will survive given proper care. You should immediataly cut off all dead roots though when repotting, and lightly dust with cinnamon on the cuts to prevent opportunistic disease and viruses from attacking. As a side note, I have rescued many phal's and most have survived. The older leaves still show signs of the original stress, but the newer ones are plump and beautiful.
