ID this Cymbidium?

russ2009(9 Texas)March 22, 2010

I was given this Cymbidium 3 years ago and it has doubled its size since then. The first year it had one spike - last year 2 spikes but this year it had 5 spikes.

gorgeous plant.

No one can id the plant for me so I thought someone on here maybe has the same plant. Thanks Russ

Sorry Russ, hate to be the bearer of bad news but an ID ain't gonna happen. There are SO MANY cymbidium hybrids out there that look like this that without a tag, ID is impossible. ESPECIALLY in Cymbidiums, one of the most hybridized plants on the market. The best you'll be able to do is say "it looks kinda like....", but again, too many hybrids look like this.

Sorry, it's forever a NOID. Pretty NOID, but a NOID nontheless.

Thanks Terguy for the information. At least now I can honestly say I dont know when asked what type of cymbidium it is. Its so easy to grow and take care of.

It is a beautiful cymbidium!! Once a NOID, always a NOID. Regardless, you have quite a beautiful and healthy plant!

I would LOVE having that cymbidium. I however, cannot trace it to a single hybrid.
